Get Ready for the Berlin Film Festival 2024 Lineup: Here Are the Unveiled Titles


 

 

Among the new features of Berlinale Special 2024, films out of competition at the next Berlin International Film Festival, will include new films with Carey Mulligan, Adam Sandler, Amanda Seyfried, Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough.

 

Also  it will have its world premiere Spaceman, a Netflix sci-fi drama from Chernobyl director Johan Renck, starring Sandler, Mulligan, Kunal Nayyar, Isabella Rossellini and Paul Dano. Sasquatch Sunset, the adventure comedy by the Zellner brothers starring Keough. It will be screened in Berlin after its debut at Sundance Eisenberg, by Nathan Zellner and Christophe Zajac-Denek. Atom Egoyan’s Seven Veils, which had its world premiere in Toronto and stars Seyfried alongside Rebecca Liddiard, Douglas Smith, Ambur Braid and Michael Kupfer-Radecky, will have its international premiere.

 

Also, it will have its world premiere at the Berlinale Specials Treasure (aka Iron Box), the English-language feature film by German director Julia von Heinz, starring Lena Dunham and Stephen Fry as a neurotic businesswoman who accompanies her father, a Holocaust survivor, on a trip to Poland to make sense of his family's past.

 

Other Berlinale Specials titles include German director Tilman Singer's Cuckoo, starring Hunter Schafer, Dan Stevens and Jessica Henwick; the documentary Abiding Nowhere by Taiwanese director Tsai Ming-liang (Stray Dogs); and Dostoevsky, a detective series inspired by the works of the classic Russian writer created by the Italian Innocenzo brothers.
